With a network of training partners throughout Northern Illinois, job seekers can gain access to comprehensive job training, support, placement and retention services, so that you can work, thrive and secure long-term employment in the construction industry.
ConstructionWorks supports men and women seeking career opportunities within the skilled building trades, including heavy highway construction. Services are available at designated locations throughout Chicago, Suburban Cook County, Waukegan, Aurora, and Rockford.

ConstructionWorks was launched in 2018 to develop a strong local workforce of skilled labor to ensure the Tollway stands prepared to meet the demands of the future. Additional union partners include: Auto Mechanics, Boilermakers, Bricklayers, Heat and Frost Insulators, Operating Engineers, Painters, Pipefitters, Plumbers, Roofers, Sheet Metal Workers, and Sprinkler Fitters.
Eligible candidates will work with a career coach to assess the individual’s abilities and interests, develop career plans, develop employment skills, find jobs and apprenticeships, and access other employment opportunities and support.
